Rex’s Rankings: Two weeks left

There are only two weeks remaining in the regular season in high school football.

There was movement in our Top 10 following last week’s games.

Benton dropped from No. 5 to No. 10 after losing 62-33 to No. 3 Greenwood.

Conway moved up from No. 7 to No. 5 with its 31-0 victory over Little Rock Central.

Bentonville, which started the season 0-3, moved up from No. 9 to No. 7 with its 35-14 win over Rogers.

Fayetteville moved up from No. 10 to No. 9 following a 48-14 victory over Springdale.

In Class 4A, three of the Top 5 teams lost — No. 2 Joe T. Robinson lost to No. 4 Bauxite. No. 3 Rivercrest and No. 5 Nashville were both upset. Bauxite moves up to No. 2 in Class 4A. Stuttgart and Hamburg, meanwhile, move into the Top 5.

For the third consecutive week, there’s a different No. 1 team in Class 2A. This week it’s Hazen, which moved up from No. 2 following a 34-12 victory over Earle. Foreman fell from No. 1 to No. 3 after losing 14-13 to Mineral Springs.
